Abstract

The dynamics of the contemporary family have undergone considerable alterations due to the increasing engagement of mothers into workforce. We are going to analyses many-sided relationship between maternal employment and child development and academic achievements. Making use of the whole array of literature that exists and is being produced by scholars, this research sheds light on the interconnectedness of a number of factors related to children's socio-emotional growth and their achievements in academia when the mother is working outside the home. The results point to that maternal employment however it is also mentioned to be beneficial and disadvantage on children's development. Students of working moms are in stronger position of having more independence, social competence, and adaptability, but the overall concerns were raised by some experts due to attachment issues and low academic levels have been proved to associate with kids from poor families. These findings are affected by various factors, like the degree of quality of maternal care, accessibility of superior quality childcare, maternal education degree and socio-economic situation. Besides, the study also examines the influence of maternal employment on educational outcomes, drawing attention to the need of assessing how the mother employment meets parental support in education, as well as how children’s involvement is shaped by access to resources and cultural norms on gender roles. Future research directions may include the design of longitudinal studies that follow the outcomes of maternal job engagement over an extended period and educational achievements, as well as support for working families whose children fare better educationally. Moreover, this study has demonstrated the complex amalgams between mother employment and intelligence, health and Children’ education achievement.
